9:30 AM – MORNING MARKET UPDATE & WATCH LIST

[dropcap]Y[/dropcap]esterday, the Dow closed higher by +221 points, the S&P 500 rose +27 points, and the Nasdaq ended up +63 points.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

“Wherever you see a successful business, you can believe that there was once one day a courageous decision.”
– Peter Drucker

Uncertainty regarding two of the biggest headwinds facing the global economy — trade and Brexit — appeared to lift, clearing the way for investors to pile into the riskier assets.

President Donald Trump has signed off on a “phase one” trade deal with China, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson swept to victory in the UK election.

This morning, the major averages are again racing to record highs. Markets in Europe shot up in early trading, following big gains for stocks in Asia.
